HDFC Bank offers a wide range of premium as well as basic credit cards, which are among the topmost credit cards available in the Indian market. All these cards come with different types of reward programs with different reward rates. The premium credit cards like the HDFC Infinia, HDFC Regalia, HDFC Diners Club Black Credit Card, etc, earlier had a capping only on reward points earned on insurance categories. Now, the card issuer has also put a cap on the reward points that can be earned on property management services including rent payments. However, the cap is different on different credit cards. Cap on Reward Points On Rent Payment
Now, only up to a fixed number of reward points each month can be earned on property management services payments using HDFC Bank Credit Cards. This maximum cap can be different for different credit cards. Some of the most popular HDFC Credit Cards along with their reward rates and cap on reward points on property management services are given in the table below:
|Credit Cards||Reward Rate on Property Management Services||Cap on Reward Points on Rent Payments|
|HDFC Infinia Credit Card/HDFC Diners Club Black Credit Card||5 Reward Points on every spend of Rs. 150||2,000 Reward Points per month|
|HDFC Regalia Credit Card/HDFC Diners Club Privilege Credit Card||4 Reward Points on every spend of Rs. 150||1,000 Reward Points per month|
|HDFC Regalia First Credit Card||4 Reward Points on every spend of Rs. 150||500 Reward Points per month.|
|HDFC Millennia Credit Card||1% cashback (in the form of CashPoints)||500 CashPoints per month|
|HDFC MoneyBack Plus Credit Card||2 CashPoints on every spend of Rs. 150.||500 CashPoints per month.|
The decision of fixing a cap on Reward Points on property management-related payments might be a bit disappointing for some cardholders, especially those who use their credit card for rent payments, but the number of Reward Points is still not that bad. Also, there is still no maximum cap on Reward Points on other retail spends. So, the cardholders can keep earning maximum benefits in other categories.
