The Verdict

While the Ka-Ching Credit Cards by HDFC and Kotak Mahindra are very much similar- the 6E Rewards XL variants of both the banks offer very similar benefits and the 6E Rewards variants of both the banks also offer almost similar benefits- there still are a few differences, for example, the Kotak cards offer a slightly better reward rate on IndiGo spends (6% and 3% as compared with 5% and 2.5% on the HDFC Cards), the forex mark-up fee applicable on the HDFC 6E Rewards XL Card is 2.5% of the transaction amount (as compared to 3.5% for the other three cards) and while you get a 1% waiver on the fuel surcharge on the 6E Rewards XL variant by HDFC, no fuel surcharge waiver is applicable on any of the other three Ka-Ching Credit Cards. One major difference between the 6E Reward XL variants by HDFC and Kotak is, although the annual fee of both the cards is Rs. 2,500, 6E Rewards XL – IndiGo Kotak Credit Card is being offered at an annual fee of just Rs. 1,500 under an introductory launch offer.
