Lounge Access Update for HDFC Bank Credit Cards 2023

HDFC Bank has updated the terms for domestic & international lounge access offered for free with HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card, Millennia Credit Card and Regalia First Credit Card starting from the 1st of December, 2023. The number of times you could get free lounge visits has decreased for both Millennia and Regalia Credit Cards while they have entirely been discontinued for Regalia First Credit Card. Lounge Access Update for HDFC Bank Regalia First Credit Card 

From 1st December 2023, you can no longer avail of complimentary domestic and international lounge access with the HDFC Bank Regalia First Credit Card. 

Lounge Access Update for HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card 

You can now avail of complimentary lounge access within India if you achieve a quarterly spend of Rs. 1 lakh. Only if you spend Rs. 1 lakh each quarter can you get two complimentary domestic lounge access (8 in a year). 

HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card now offers fewer complimentary lounge visits in India than before. Previously, cardholders could access 12 lounge visits for free, but now they can only access 8 lounges in India per year under the milestone benefit.

International Lounge Access With HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card

You can avail of six complimentary international lounge visits (Priority Pass) with the HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card after making four successful retail transactions with the card. After six complimentary visits, you shall be charged US $ 27 + GST per visit. 

Lounge Access Update for HDFC Bank Millennia Credit Card

You would need to spend Rs. 1 lakh each quarter to avail of complimentary lounge access within India with the Millennia Credit Card. You would get one complimentary domestic lounge access each quarter (4 each year).

Calendar Quarter – Jan-Mar, Apr-June, Jul-Sept, and Oct-Dec*

The process for redeeming free domestic lounge access with HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card and Millenia Credit Card has changed. Previously, card swiping was allowed, but now, a voucher must be redeemed online. Keep reading for more information.

How to Avail of Domestic Lounge Access Vouchers for HDFC Bank Millennia & Regalia Credit Card from 1st December 2023?

Just follow these few simple steps to get your lounge access voucher.

• You would first need to reach the quarterly spend milestone.
• To get your lounge access voucher, visit the Regalia SmartBuy page >> Lounge Benefits >> Lounge access voucher for HDFC Regalia Credit Card.

• You would then need to click on “Generate Voucher”.
• Lounge access voucher shall be sent to your mobile via SMS or e-mail.
• Your e-voucher shall contain a QR code that can be scanned to airports for lounge access.

There is no change in the lounge access provided with HDFC Bank Diners Club Black, Diners Club Metal, Infinia, Tata Neu Infinity, 6E Indigo XL and Regalia Gold Credit Card.

With the new terms for lounge access provided with the HDFC Bank Millennia and Regalia Credit Cards, the earlier complimentary visits now come under milestone benefits, which can only be availed once you make the necessary spend of Rs. 1 lakh. While complimentary lounge access is discontinued for the Regalia First Credit Card, the number of visits has decreased for Millennia and Regalia Credit Card. 

In regards to the Regalia Credit Card, this invokes the question if you should upgrade from HDFC Regalia to HDFC Bank Regalia Gold Credit Card. As the earlier complimentary visits are now a milestone benefit, there is also a change in the redemption process for lounge access.
