The airport lounge access benefit is constantly changing, with cards offering easy access one day and adding restrictions the next. A similar change has now been seen with the ICICI Bank co-branded credit cards, including the MakeMyTrip and Adani cards. While spend-based lounge access is not new for ICICI Bank credit cards, it was not expected on these travel-focused co-branded cards.
Starting from 1st July 2026, cardholders of the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card, Adani One ICICI Bank Signature Credit Card, and Adani One ICICI Bank Platinum Credit Card will need to spend ₹75,000 in a quarter to be eligible for airport lounge access. This is a significant devaluation, as these cards were popular for offering lounge access without any spending conditions.

With this change, only premium cards like Times Black ICICI and Emeralde Credit Cards will continue to offer lounge access without any spending requirement.
After this devaluation in July 2026, only the following ICICI Bank credit cards will continue to offer airport lounge access without any spending requirement:
- ICICI Bank Diamant Credit Card
- ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card
- ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Credit Card
- ICICI Bank Emeralde Credit Card
- ICICI Bank Emirates Emeralde Credit Card
- Times Black ICICI Bank Credit Card
Bottom Line
Banks are constantly changing the benefits on their credit cards to keep things sustainable in the long run. This move also follows that trend, as many users got these cards with zero joining fees and used the benefits without much spending.
ICICI Bank is now moving towards a model where only those who actually spend on the card will be eligible for the key rewards and benefits.

The most interesting takeaway here is how quickly the gap is widening between regular co-branded cards and truly premium offerings. With more cards moving to spend-based lounge access, premium cards like Times Black now stand out even more in the ICICI lineup for users who value straightforward and hassle-free travel benefits.
