Customers who are pre-approved for the upgrade can earn 100,000 Membership Rewards Points as a welcome gift, and the first 200 approved upgrades will also receive an Air India voucher worth ₹10,000.
The offer is valid from 1 August to 25 August 2026. Compared to the July offer, which included 100,000 Membership Rewards Points + an additional 25,000 Membership Rewards Points, the August offer replaces the extra reward points with an Air India voucher, making it slightly less rewarding for those who value Membership Rewards Points the most.

This time they have also launched a unique upgrade offer in which the select Cardholder will get voucher Rs. 10K if upgraded to Platinum Card and completes the spend target of Rs. 150K… Something interesting!

If someone has already taken a similar upgrade offer before, can they get this offer again or is there any waiting period in between?

The TnC of upgrade says that customer will continue to hold existing Amex card. Can someone who opted for upgrade confirm if the existing card was deactivated or both cards are active?
If you upgrade they will not let you keep both cards. You have upgraded.
