HDFC Bank Revamps Shoppers Stop Credit Cards – Latest Update 2024

HDFC Bank partnered with Shoppers Stop to offer two credit cards – the Shoppers Stop Credit Card and the Shoppers Stop Black Credit Card. These cards offer rewards on purchases made at the popular apparel store – Shoppers Stop. Customers can avail of great discounts and deals both online and offline at Shoppers Stop stores by using these cards. The bank has now decided to change and enhance the features and benefits of both these credit cards.

From 1st March 2024, both of these cards shall see some major changes. Whether it’s the reward structure, redemption, or fees, let us look at all the major changes to these cards.

Changes to Shoppers Stop HDFC Bank Credit Card

Customers who use the Shoppers Stop Card are offered a complimentary Shoppers Stop membership. This co-branded credit card is designed to reward shoppers who make purchases at Shoppers Stop. While earlier this card was offered as Lifetime Free, now it comes at a joining charge of ₹299.

The Shoppers Stop Black Credit Card offers multiple features and benefits, providing customers with an exceptional shopping experience. It is a premium version of the Shoppers Stop HDFC Bank Credit Card.

Bottom Line

The changes mentioned above, which shall be made to the Shoppers Stop and Shoppers Stop Black Credit Cards, are highly advantageous for cardholders as they now receive more rewards. Previously, the Shoppers Stop Black Credit Card did not offer any milestone benefits, but now such benefits are available to the cardholders. Moreover, both credit cards used to earn First Citizen Points, but now the cardholders shall earn HDFC Bank Reward Points, which can be redeemed from the bank’s catalog.

Both these cards would allow customers to access greater savings at Shoppers Stop while fulfilling their fashion needs. However, there is a drawback as the Shoppers Stop Credit Card will now be charged a fee of ₹299, whereas previously, it was offered as a Lifetime Free card. But this card can still be availed at a low joining fee and now offers more mainstream rewards.
