When you apply for a credit card, it’s important to consider its impact on your financial journey carefully. Two essential factors to consider are your personal finances and spending habits, as well as the credit card’s benefits. HDFC Millennia and Regalia Gold Credit Cards are among the most popular credit cards offered by the bank.

While HDFC Millennia is an easygoing everyday cashback credit card, Regalia Gold offers a lot more in terms of accelerated rewards and travel benefits, albeit at a higher price point.

As one of India’s largest credit card issuers, many of us choose to opt for HDFC Credit Cards. However, selecting the right type of credit card can be confusing. To help you make an informed decision, we have curated an article that compares and contrasts these two credit cards so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

Let’s compare some of the most important features of both cards now.

HDFC Millennia Vs Regalia Gold

Meanwhile, the Regalia Gold offers 20 Reward Points for every ₹150 spent on Myntra, Marks and Spencer, Nykaa, and Reliance Digital.

If we talk in terms of Reward Points earning, one can earn a lot more RPs with the Regalia Gold than with the Millennia Credit Card.

Free Airport Lounge Access

Regarding free domestic airport lounge access, only Regalia Gold offers access to both domestic and international airport lounges. Whereas, with the Millennia Credit Card, no airport lounge access is offered.

Who is the Ultimate Winner?

Millennia can be bagged for the low fee of ₹1,000, which is easy to pay for most of us compared to ₹2,500 for the Regalia Card. Both cards provide attractive welcome benefits that make their fees worthwhile.

The Regalia card would offer you accelerated Reward Points for select merchants, including Myntra, Marks & Spencer, and Reliance Digital. In contrast, with the Millennia Credit Card, you can access 5% cashback on merchants like Amazon, BookMyShow, cult.fit, Flipkart, Myntra, Sony LIV, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ, Uber, and Zomato.

The Regalia Gold Credit Card is a better option than Millennia if you want luxury and comfort. It offers a broader range of welcome benefits, airport lounge visits, and complimentary memberships. However, it comes at a higher cost. It’s also worth noting that you can waive the annual charges for Millennia by spending ₹1 lakh in a card year, whereas with the Regalia Gold card, you would have to spend ₹4 lakh.

Another underrated benefit of having Regalia Gold is that it can easily pave the way to more premium HDFC Credit Cards, such as Diners Club Black and Infinia Metal.

  • Cash back is one of the important feature of Millennia and can also be adjusted against the bill which is not the case of Regalia Gold Card

In terms of cashback one can opt for better cards including SBI Cashback, Airtel Axis and Swiggy HDFC.

It depends on use. But I find Millennia card more user friendly. Returns are in form of cash back. 1 CB point =Re 1/- which can easily be redeemed as statement credit. With those vouchers etc you need not have to use them.
Regalia gold has advantage only if you are a frequent traveller and used to lounges.
