HDFC Bank offers a wide range of premium as well as basic credit cards, which are among the topmost credit cards available in the Indian market. All these cards come with different types of reward programs with different reward rates. The premium credit cards like the HDFC Infinia, HDFC Regalia, HDFC Diners Club Black Credit Card, etc, earlier had a capping only on reward points earned on insurance categories. Now, the card issuer has also put a cap on the reward points that can be earned on property management services including rent payments. However, the cap is different on different credit cards. Bottom Line

The decision of fixing a cap on Reward Points on property management-related payments might be a bit disappointing for some cardholders, especially those who use their credit card for rent payments, but the number of Reward Points is still not that bad. Also, there is still no maximum cap on Reward Points on other retail spends. So, the cardholders can keep earning maximum benefits in other categories.

Does it mean the reward points for the rent transactions done before July 23 are also capped because the bill is generated after July 23?

Nope, only transactions done after July 23rd.

I did a rent payment using HDFC Diners black card 4 days back (only transaction of the month) but I have still not received the reward points for that transaction. What can be the reason? Will RP be processed at end of month?

    • Ankur Mittal Reply

The RPs are credited when the statement is generated.

I have paid rent on last month. Even bill generated. It doesn’t added up any reward points. But In the end of statement, it says 500 RP for property management service. But doesn’t added any reward points in the acutal sum. whats the reason behind it ?

Is it mean like I got 500 reward points . But it doesn’t sum up with existing reward points ?
