Just a couple of days after a leaked screenshot from HDFC’s website confirmed the rumors of the relaunch of Infinia Credit Card in metallic form factor, another screenshot of HDFC Credit Cards MITC PDF was doing rounds on Twitter today. The MITC had mention of a new upcoming card- HDFC Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card.

HDFC Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card
January Update: The screenshots leaked were probably fake as the newer MITC didn’t have any mention of the card. We believe that the next premium card by HDFC Bank would be called Infinia Reserve.

HDFC Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card Reward Rate and Annual Fee

As per the leaked image of HDFC Credit Cards MITC, the Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card will come with a membership fee of Rs. 20,000 per annum (highest amongst all HDFC credit cards) which will be waived off on achieving the annual spend milestone of Rs. 25 lakh.

One of the Twitter users also claimed that the new Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card will come with a reward rate of 4.67% (7 Reward Points per Rs. 150 spent with the card). We have already posted another article on the Infinia Metal Edition Credit Card where 1 Reward Point is equivalent to Re. 1. We expect the monetary value of Reward Points to remain the same for the Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card as well. Further, the base credit limit of the Galaxia Metal Titanium Card is expected to be around Rs. 15 lakhs (compared to Rs. 8 lakh for the Infinia Credit Card).

Bottom Line

We expect the HDFC Galaxia Metal Titanium Credit Card to be launched in October itself along with the metal edition of the Infinia Credit Card as the bank would certainly like to encash the increased demand for credit in the coming festive season. The card will directly compete with the likes of American Express Platinum Credit Card and Citi Prestige Credit Card.
