Yes Bank has updated the terms of its credit card’s complimentary lounge access. To access airport lounges with your card, you will now need to meet the minimum spend requirement of Rs. 35,000 or more in the previous calendar quarter. This puts Yes Bank on the list of banks that are either reducing or restricting airport lounge access. HDFC Bank also made a similar change last month.

For free access to airport lounges in the next quarter with Yes Bank Credit Card, you would need to spend Rs. 35,000 or more in the previous calendar quarter. Then you shall be eligible for domestic lounge access in the next quarter. This shall be implemented starting 1st July 2024. The number of complimentary lounge accesses remains unchanged.

February Lounge Access Update for Yes Bank Credit Cards

Bottom Line

It seems slow and steady; most credit card issuers will require minimum spends for free airport lounge access. ICICI Bank started this trend, followed by other banks like IDFC, HDFC, and, finally, Yes Bank. You would now need to spends Rs. 35,000 or more in a quarter to be eligible for airport lounge access in the next quarter. The number of airport lounge visits has remained the same. This change will surely impact many of the new customers who have just opted for the upgraded and new Yes Bank Credit Cards.
