After several rounds of credit card devaluations by various banks, there is finally some news that isn’t about reducing benefits on cards from American Express. The benefits surrounding the American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card have undergone some changes. From complimentary Accor Plus Traveller membership to changes in the monthly spend-based benefits, there are a few notable changes.

American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card April Update

All of the following changes will be implemented on American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card from May 1, 2024

  • Platinum Reserve Credit Cardholders will now receive a complimentary Accor Plus Traveller membership.
  • Two complimentary international lounge visits with a priority pass.
  • A new annual fee waiver has been introduced; simply spend Rs. 10 lakh in a card anniversary year to waive the annual charges of Rs. 10,000. This feature has replaced the previous benefit of Taj vouchers worth Rs. 10,000.
  • Now get vouchers up to Rs. 12,000 per year on monthly spends of Rs. 50,000. You would need to spend Rs. 50,000 each month to get a voucher worth Rs. 1,000. Previously vouchers worth only Rs. 6,000 can be earned.
  • Golf benefits can now only be accessed when monthly spendings of Rs. 50,000 are reached.

All other features of the American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card will remain unchanged.
