How to Change Details in SBI Credit Cards

In this article, we will specifically talk about SBI Credit Cards, what all details should be updated with the bank, and if there is any change in the details that you have earlier provided to the bank, how should we update those.

Change in the residential address

A residential address is an address where the cardholder lives. This address should always be updated with the bank as many important letters are sent by the bank to this address including your monthly credit card statement if your request it. Such documents are very confidential and no other person should get their hands on these documents. Therefore, we should take care that we have provided the correct address to the bank so that the important documents are in the right hands. Following are the ways in which you can update your communication address with the bank –

Via Net banking

The easiest way in which credit cardholders can change the communication address in their credit card account is via Net Banking. You can follow the below-mentioned steps with the help of which the address can be changed in the account –

  • Log in to your SBI Card Account on the official website of the bank using your credentials.
  • Under the ‘My Profile’ section present on the left side of the page, click on ‘Address Tab’.
  • You can now change your address by clicking on the Edit option.
  • Submit the OTP that you have received on your registered mobile number.
  • Hit the ‘Submit’ button to proceed.

After submitting, you will have to upload an address proof of your new communication address. The bank officials with then verify the documents and proofs that you have provided for updating the address. Once verified, the communication address in your account will be changed.

Via Mobile Banking Application

Another way in which you can change the address in your credit card account is by using the SBI Card Mobile Banking Application. To change the address using a mobile banking application. Follow the steps mentioned under –

  • Download and log in to the SBI Card mobile application using your login id and password.
  • Click on ‘My Profile’ under the menu option.
  • Now under the address option, enter the address that you would like to update in the account.
  • Click on Generate OTP.
  • Enter the OTP that you have received on your registered mobile number and then Hit the ‘Submit’ option.

Once you have submitted the request to update the address in your credit card account, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number regarding the submission of your address proof. You will now have to upload the documents as proof of a change in the communication address. Once verified by the bank, the address will be changed in your account.

Via Physical Application Form

Now, another way in which you can update the address on your credit card is by visiting the nearest bank branch. All you have to do is to walk into the nearest bank branch and request the officials to change the address in your credit card account. You will now be provided with a physical address change form or you can even download it from the official website. Fill in the required details and attach the necessary documents. The bank officials will then verify the documents provided as proof of a change in address and once the verification is positive, the address in your credit card account will be changed.

Following is the list of documents that are acceptable as proof of a change in the communication address –

  • Aadhar Card
  • Passport
  • Voter Id
  • Driving Licence
  • Utility Bill (not more than 2 months old)
  • Any ID Card issued by the Government.
