IDFC Ashva and Mayura Credit Cards have undergone significant revaluation in 2025. Just recently, cardholders received mail about their upgraded benefits. This is why many were surprised or even scared to see that another feature change has been announced for both the premium metal IDFC First Credit Cards.

Starting from 1st July 2025, IDFC Mayura and Ashva Credit Cardholders would need to use the District by Zomato app for their free movie ticket benefit. Earlier, this benefit was available via BookMyShow. No other change has been announced; only the platform has been shifted from BookMyShow to District by Zomato.
Bottom Line
This is not a major change to the card offerings, but it is something everyone should be aware of. District is a new and upcoming platform by the food delivery giant Zomato. Recently, many cards like those of Axis Bank have started offering BOGO offers via District, which Paytm Movies earlier provided, and now even IDFC has shifted its partner from BookMyShow to District, starting from 1st July 2025.
In terms of convenience fees, the District charges slightly less than BookMyShow, but the difference is negligible.

Feels like IDFC is trying hard to promote District—but very few are actually using it. They’ve already pulled the Paytm movie offer from select credit cards, and now shifting perks to District seems more like an attempt to push users onto a platform they wouldn’t choose otherwise. If this trend continues, expect more benefits to quietly disappear from popular platforms.
