American Express Shop Small Offer: Earn Rs. 500 Cashback On Spending Rs. 1,000

American Express has come up with the Shop Small offer under which AmEx cardholders will get a cashback of Rs. 500 on every purchase of Rs. 1,000 or more at the participating merchants. American Express claims that this offer will support small businesses and help them grow and thrive in the competitive market as the offer is fully funded by American Express and the required resources are provided to the eligible merchants at no extra cost.

How to avail the American Express Shop Small Offer:

The cardmembers who wish to avail the offer need to save the offer on their card, after which they become eligible for a cashback of Rs. 500 upon spending Rs. 1,000 at the partner stores. If the offer isn’t available on your American Express account, you can register for the same here. The offer is valid from 3rd August to 31st October 2021 and is applicable on all American Express credit cards. AmEx credit cards issued by ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank are also eligible for the offer, but they need to register for the offer before using it.

Offer Terms and Conditions:

• The offer is valid for the in-person transactions made at over 60,000 offline stores across major cities in India including Bangalore, Chennai, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Noida, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Thane.
• The maximum cashback per transaction is capped at Rs. 500 and the total cashback that can be earned during the entire offer period is capped at Rs. 2,500.
• Offer can be availed for a maximum of 5 times during the entire offer period.
• You can avail the cashback benefit only once at a given store.
• The cashback is credited within 5 business days of the eligible transaction but may take up to 90 business days from the offer end date.
• The cashback can not be redeemed against cash or any other payment form. It can only be credited to the card’s statement balance.
• Add-on credit cards are also eligible for the offer, but you need to add the offer to each add-on card separately to avail the same.
• EMI transactions during the offer period are also eligible for the cashback.
• As mentioned earlier, American Express credit cards issued by ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank are also eligible for the offer.

Bottom Line:

American Express has been coming up with some of the very attractive offers for its cardmembers for quite some time now. We have already discussed the Rewards Multiplier offer in one of our earlier posts. This is probably an attempt by the card issuer to retain their existing customer base. What makes this Shop Small offer unique is that it is applicable on the AmEx cards issued by ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank as well.
