The partnership between Air India’s Maharaja Club and Zomato seems to have ended almost as quickly as it began. Around the same time that Air India announced a major revamp of the Maharaja Club, both companies decided to end their collaboration from May 1, 2026.
At the same time, Swiggy has been expanding its partnerships rapidly, adding brands like Marriott Bonvoy and IndiGo. In comparison, Zomato’s partnership strategy appears to be slowing down.
Bottom Line
Many points enthusiasts were excited to earn Maharaja Club points on Zomato orders. However, this partnership is coming to an end sooner than expected. Users can earn points only till April 30, 2026. From May 1 onwards, no Maharaja Club points will be awarded on Zomato orders.
In the broader space of credit cards and partnerships, Zomato seems to be falling behind Swiggy. Swiggy has launched new co-branded credit cards with HDFC Bank and continues to grow its partner network, including airlines like Etihad Airways.
On the other hand, Zomato currently has no co-branded credit cards. Even popular options like the Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card have recently been devalued, which has left some users disappointed.
