While traveling from Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh City, all I wanted was a quiet place to sit and relax. Phu Quoc Airport is small, but it can still feel crowded and tiring.
Before my flight, I decided to visit the SH Premium Lounge. It was easy to locate, and getting to the boarding gates from there was simple. The staff was polite and welcoming, which immediately made the experience more comfortable.
The only problem I faced there was with my Dreamfolks QR code. When I showed it at the counter, it didn’t work. I even tried a second QR code, but that one didn’t work either. The staff was very kind and helpful. They told me they do accept Dreamfolks QR codes, but for some reason, mine were showing as expired, even though they were still valid. It was a bit confusing, but I appreciated how polite and supportive the staff was while trying to help. The good thing was that I had a business-class ticket, and lounge access comes free with it.
First Impression on Arrival
As I made my way to the counter upon my surprise, there were not many people so my entry was quick, but as soon as I entered the sitting area, many people were sitting and relaxing, some were with their families, and some were sitting alone. I took a magazine from the magazine holder to pass the time. I noticed an automatic shoe-cleaning machine near the magazine holder, and, of course, I tried it. It made my shoes squeaky clean.
I sat in the sitting area, which was neat and clean, overall well-maintained. As I was reading my magazine, I noticed a QR code on my table that connected my device to the lounge Wi-Fi.
What I liked the most was that, as it was the Christmas season, the lounge was decorated with vibrant Christmas decorations. The holiday vibe made the lounge experience more relaxing.
Dining Experience
The SH Premium Lounge offered a variety of food. As a vegetarian, what I had was bread, butter, fruits, and lots of candies. Though there were a lot of options, such as different soups, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, Pho, and chicken bao. Everything looked fresh and appetizing.
If you have a sweet tooth, then you won’t be able to resist the mouth-watering muffins like me. At the end, I finished my lunch with a glass of fresh fruit juice, and if you like Diet Coke or Pepsi, you can get different types of soft drinks too.
Bottom Line
My visit to the SH Premium Lounge at Phu Quoc Airport was a comfortable start to my flight. I had a small issue with my Dreamfolks QR code, but the staff were kind and helped me quickly. I never felt unwelcome or rushed, which is important at an airport.
The lounge had a calm and cozy feel. The Christmas decorations and quiet seating made it welcoming for travelers. It wasn’t crowded or noisy, so I could relax, eat, and enjoy some time before my flight.
The vegetarian food options were limited but still decent for a meal. I kept it simple with some bread, fruit, sweets, and juice while watching others prepare for their journeys. It felt like a nice break before boarding.
The lounge gave me what I needed- a clean place to sit, good food, and a moment to slow down before my flight. It may not be the fanciest lounge, but it is a reliable spot for comfort and a quiet break at Phu Quoc Airport.
