The SH Premium Lounge is one of the better airport lounges available at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) for domestic travellers. From the moment you enter, the lounge gives a neat, clean, and modern impression, making it a comfortable place to relax before your flight.
First Impressions
The staff offers a warm and friendly welcome at the entrance. During my visit, they were surprisingly efficient at crowd management and granted access quickly without much delay.
While the lounge has decent seating capacity, it is quite popular, and during peak hours, most seats tend to be occupied. Still, the overall entry experience was smooth and well-managed.
Where You Sit & Relax
The lounge offers multiple types of seating arrangements, catering to different preferences. Whether you want to relax, read, eat, or simply sit comfortably before boarding, there are suitable options available.
The seating is comfortable, and charging points are easily accessible, which is always a plus for travellers needing to recharge their devices before a flight.
What’s on the Plate
There are several food options available in the lounge, mainly catering to those who enjoy Vietnamese and international cuisine. However, Indian travellers, especially vegetarians, may find the food options limited. During my visit, vegetarian choices were quite scarce.
We tried communicating with the chef to see if a simple vegetarian dish like veg noodles could be prepared, especially since there was a board mentioning that the chef accepts requests. Unfortunately, no vegetarian options were available at that time.
That said, those who enjoy salads and lighter, healthier options would not be disappointed.
While the options were limited for us, the dessert was satisfying and left little to complain about.
Bottom Line
The SH Premium Lounge is a comfortable and well-maintained domestic lounge with good seating, modern interiors, and polite staff. It works well for travellers looking for a clean place to sit, charge devices, and relax before a domestic flight.
However, if food, especially vegetarian food, is a priority, the lounge may feel limited. For short domestic layovers or quick pre-flight relaxation, it does the job well, but food expectations should be kept modest.
Travellers looking for food that suits the Indian palate should definitely check out the SENS Business Lounge at Ho Chi Minh Airport.
