CRED Launches New Super Premium Sovereign Credit Card on RuPay Ekaa

16 September, 2025 / By Kartik Kanwar / 11 Comment

CRED, one of the most popular credit card bill payment platforms, has just launched its first co-branded credit card in partnership with IndusInd Bank. The brand-new CRED IndusInd RuPay Credit Card is designed to offer 5% back in points on e-commerce spends. But that’s not all, CRED has another surprise in store. The company has also launched a super-premium credit card tailored for ultra-high-net-worth individuals. This would be the second co-branded credit card by CRED.

CRED Introduces the Sovereign Credit Card on RuPay Ekaa

The upcoming CRED Sovereign Credit Card, which is already creating buzz in the market, is set to feature some of the most premium benefits. While details are still under wraps, it is known that the Sovereign Card will feature unprecedented benefits and will be powered by the new RuPay Ekaa platform.

Stay tuned with Card Insider for the latest updates on this exciting launch.

What to Expect from the CRED Sovereign Credit Card?

  • It will be an invite-only credit card and would come as an 18 Karat gold credit card.
  • It will be the first-ever card on the RuPay Ekaa network. RuPay Ekaa might be equivalent to other premium platform variants, such as Visa Infinite or Mastercard World Elite.

Bottom Line

Those who know CRED are well aware that the company never falls short when it comes to flashy marketing campaigns, and now with its new credit card launches, it’s once again in the spotlight. One of the most surprising aspects of these launches is that the upcoming super premium card will be featured on RuPay Ekaa. Not much is known about this platform yet, but it is said to offer even more premium benefits than the RuPay SELECT variant.

The all-new CRED Sovereign Credit Card has definitely captured everyone’s attention, so much so that even other premium launches, like HDFC’s upcoming Infinia Bharat, seem to have been overshadowed.

It is said that it would compete with Centurion, Primus or Burgundy Private. I doubt it though..
