Rumors and speculations are currently swirling around the credit card scene in India. From the upcoming changes to Axis Bank Credit Card redemptions, rumoured Air India co-branded credit cards, to the long-rumored Infinia Reserve Credit Card, there are many questions regarding the future of credit cards in the country.
Adding to all of this mystery and excitement, new forms have emerged for HDFC Add-on Credit Cards, which include a new and upcoming credit card – the Infinia Bharat Credit Card. As of now, not much is known about this latest upcoming offering by HDFC, but it is speculated that it shall be the RuPay variant of Infinia.
The card now also features its own enrollment link for the Club Marriott membership, confirming it as a feature of the new HDFC Infinia Bharat RuPay Credit Card.
What is the New HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card?
In recent times, more and more information has been made available about the new HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card. The name has now been mentioned on various popular social media platforms by many; it made its first appearance on the new HDFC’s add-on credit card form. Then it was sighted on the Club Marriott membership form, and now many have posted screenshots of the upcoming card on the official HDFC website.
It is now confirmed that HDFC Infinia Bharat is the RuPay variant of the HDFC Infinia Credit Card, which is truly a game-changer for premium credit cards in India, as very few high-quality premium credit cards are available in the RuPay variant.
December 2025
As the year draws to a close, the HDFC Infinia Bharat appears to have surfaced once again on the HDFC Bank website. This quiet reappearance has caught the attention of card enthusiasts, especially since the card had largely stayed out of public view for some time.
With little to no official communication from the bank, its presence on the website naturally raises questions about whether HDFC is preparing for a launch soon.
It also appears that the all-new HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card may offer lower SmartBuy savings compared to the existing HDFC Infinia Credit Card.

Although the card’s benefits were known for some time, this latest update firmly confirms them and also validates the offering of 12 domestic and 6 international airport lounge visits.
September 2025
The all-new HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card is now also live on SmartBuy Savings Calculator (removed as of September 2025).
October 2025 Update
Even though HDFC seems to have forgotten about the HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card, they are still updating information about it. The card name has now been included in the new airport lounge access list. Check here.
Features of HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card

- Complimentary lounge access at over 1000 airports worldwide.

3.33% Returns on UPI Spends With HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card
According to our expertise, the HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card will not offer the standard 3.33% Infinia reward rate for UPI transactions. It is anticipated that the HDFC Infinia Bharat will have different features compared to the HDFC Infinia Credit Card.
If the bank simply wanted to launch a RuPay version of the Infinia card, it could have done that straightforwardly. So, why go through the effort of launching a new HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card? It’s most likely that the Infinia Bharat Card will come with special features associated with RuPay.
Bottom Line
As of now, there is no official information available regarding the features, benefits, and fees associated with the HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card.
However, it is known that the HDFC Infinia Bharat will be launching quite soon. This new Infinia Bharat card is expected to offer high rewards on UPI transactions, amongst other RuPay-associated benefits.
Now, credit card enthusiasts shall be awaiting two new versions of the Infinia Credit Card – the HDFC Infinia Reserve and the latest addition to the list, HDFC Infinia Bharat.

Newly launched HDFC Millennia RuPay Credit Card – also offers 5% cashback via UPI on preferred merchants like Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, BookMyShow, Cult.fit, Myntra, Sony LIV, Tata CLiQ, Uber, etc (already verified & use any UPI app).
You also get an extra 1% cashback (if milestone benefit is counted) via UPI.
Other online/offline merchants – 1% cashback via UPI (Use any UPI app) + 1% extra if count milestone benefit ( total 2% cb)
I just updated this because HDFC Bank doesn’t officially mention these details on their website.
When the HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card page was live for some time, it showed 2 Reward Points on every ₹150 spent via UPI. But that was only half the information.
If you take any HDFC Bank RuPay Credit Card, they provide higher rewards on UPI online transactions or Preferred merchants. So, on the HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card, you actually get 5 Reward Points on every ₹150 spent via online UPI transaction.
As I mentioned in my previous comment.
Banks should present UPI reward details in three separate categories for clarity:
(a) Online UPI transactions (including preferred merchants)
(b) Online other merchant UPI transactions (including exclusion categories)
(c) Offline UPI transactions (including offline Scan & Pay)
That way, customers will get the correct information.

Many people here have doubts about whether the 3.33% returns on UPI spends with the HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card will actually be given or not.
Let me clear some doubts, though the actual reward rate will only be confirmed once the card is launched and customers start using it.
See, in the leaked details of the HDFC Infinia Bharat Credit Card, it was mentioned: 2 reward points on every ₹150 spend on UPI.
But is this correct information?
Answer – Yes and no, both.
Let me explain. HDFC Bank, SBI Card, HSBC and RBL Bank give UPI rewards under 3 categories:
(a) Online UPI transactions (including preferred merchants)
(b) Online other merchant UPI transactions (also includes exclusion categories)
(c) Offline UPI transactions (including offline Scan & Pay)
1) Starting with HDFC MoneyBack+ RuPay Credit Card –
On the HDFC MoneyBack+ Credit Card, you get 10X CashPoints (3.3% valueback) on Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Reliance Smart SuperStore, and BigBasket.
If you do an online UPI transaction with the MoneyBack+ Credit Card, you also get 10X CashPoints (3.3% valueback) on Amazon (this has already been verified).
But if you check HDFC Bank’s official website, it says:
“For RuPay Credit Cardholders, all UPI spends (excluding fuel, wallet/prepaid card loads, or voucher purchases) will earn 2 RPs for every ₹150 spent, capped at 500 reward points per calendar month.”
Now, this condition actually applies to other online categories and offline UPI transactions.
2) Another example – HDFC Pixel Play RuPay Credit Card –
Officially, it says: 3% cashback on one selected e-commerce merchant – Amazon or Flipkart or PayZapp.
Even if you do UPI transactions with the Pixel Play Credit Card, you still get 3% on Amazon (already verified).
But on the HDFC website, it is also mentioned: 1% cashback on UPI spends.
Other info –
Milestone benefits available on cards like HDFC Regalia RuPay Credit Card, and Card spend-based offers also count UPI spends.
The same applies to SBI Cards as well.
3) Example of SBI PhonePe Black Select RuPay Credit Card –
Officially, it says: 1% cashback on UPI spends.
But guess what? For online UPI transactions (Amazon, CRED or even some small companies apps), we are actually receiving 5% cashback via UPI.
However, for other merchants (including exclusion categories), it gives only 1% cashback on UPI.
4) Other SBI Cards – SimplySave RuPay CC, SBI BPCL Platinum RuPay, SBI Octane RuPay CC –
On these cards, higher rewards are also given on preferred merchants like groceries even when paid via UPI.
But SBI does not mention this on its website; instead, they only list the default lowest rewards for UPI spends.
So, what’s my point in explaining all this?
Banks share only half-information about UPI rewards on their websites. Whether it’s HDFC Bank, SBI Card or other banks, they do not clearly differentiate.
Ideally, banks should present UPI reward details in three separate categories for clarity:
(a) Online UPI transaction (including preferred merchants)
(b) Online other merchant UPI transaction (including exclusion categories)
(c) Offline UPI transaction (including offline Scan & Pay)
That way, customers will get the correct information.
