Just weeks after announcing changes that disappointed many cardholders, HSBC has now announced a significant revaluation of the HSBC Live+ Credit Card.
Existing cardholders have started receiving emails confirming that the card will be upgraded with several new benefits from 26 July 2026. Along with enhanced cashback, the card will now be powered by the Visa Infinite platform, unlocking additional travel and lifestyle privileges.
Interestingly, the update comes shortly after HSBC informed customers about changes to the card’s cashback structure, making this a rather unusual move where a devaluation is quickly followed by a revaluation.
What’s New?
According to the communication sent by HSBC, the following enhancements will be available from 26 July 2026:
Cashback Expanded Beyond Dining & Grocery
The HSBC Live+ Credit Card will now offer:
- 10% cashback on food, dining and grocery spends.
- Shopping and utility bill payments are now also eligible for 10% cashback.
- Monthly cashback cap increased from ₹1,000 to ₹1,200.
This effectively increases the maximum cashback that can be earned each month while also expanding the eligible spending categories.
Complimentary International Lounge Access
HSBC has also enhanced the travel benefits of the Live+ Credit Card by introducing 1 complimentary international airport lounge visit every year. This addition makes the card even more rewarding for cardholders who travel internationally, even if only occasionally.
Visa Infinite Benefits Added
Another major change is the migration of the card to the Visa Infinite platform.
Cardholders will now enjoy additional Visa Infinite privileges, including:
- Airport Meet & Assist services
- Complimentary stays at ITC Hotels
- Benefits on Avis car rentals
These benefits were previously unavailable on the HSBC Live+ Credit Card. In fact, some users have reportedly even gotten the new Visa Infinite Credit Card.
Fuel Benefit Added
HSBC has also added a new fuel benefit to the Live+ Credit Card. Cardholders can now earn ₹250 cashback every quarter on eligible contactless fuel transactions. All these new benefits, including the enhanced cashback categories, Visa Infinite privileges, and international lounge access, will come into effect from 26 July 2026.
