The Scapia Federal Credit Card is a co-branded product by Scapia and Federal Bank. It offers highly accelerated rewards on travel spends and everyday purchases, along with zero foreign exchange markup, making it ideal for those who travel internationally and book frequently through the Scapia app.
On the other hand, the IndusInd Tiger credit card is best for high spenders who want not just travel perks but also added lifestyle benefits. From accelerated milestone-based rewards and international lounge access to flexible ways to redeem the points, it is a great option for a travel credit card.

Both cards share a common feature: neither charges an annual fee, and neither offers a welcome benefit. However, eligibility is an important consideration before applying for the Scapia Federal Card. Users on the internet report that existing Federal Bank credit cardholders may face rejection when applying, so it may not be the right choice if you already hold another Federal Bank credit card.
Reward Structure Comparison
The cards offer great reward structures, while Scapia offers reward points based on user spending categories, such as travel, and the Tiger credit card provides rewards based on cardholders’ spending.
The IndusInd Tiger Credit Card features a spend-based reward system, where you earn points at an accelerated rate as you reach specific spend milestones set by the bank. Refer to the table below for a detailed breakdown.
| Annual Spend Milestone | Reward Accumulation Rate | Reward Points capped at |
| Under ₹1 Lakh | 1X | 1,000 |
| ₹1,00,001 – ₹2,50,000 | 2X | 3,000 |
| ₹2,50,001 – ₹5,00,000 | 4X | 10,000 |
| ₹5,00,000 or More | 6X | 6,000 |
Scapia Federal, on the other hand, has an accelerated reward rate for specific spending categories. With the RuPay variant of the card available, users can also earn points on their UPI spends. The table below shows the accelerated and base rewards accumulation rates.
| Spend Categories | Reward Accumulation Percentage |
| Travel Bookings via the Scapia App | 20% |
| Other Online and Offline Spends | 10% |
Scapia Federal Credit Card reward points can only be redeemed on the Scapia app, where 5 Reward Points equal 1 Scapia Coin, which seems fair as the card is co-branded, a partnership between Federal Bank and Scapia.
Whereas, IndusInd Tiger Credit Card reward points offer greater flexibility
- They can be redeemed on the Indus Moments app,
- Converted to cash credit at a rate of 1 Reward Point = ₹0.40
- Transferred to KrisFlyer program at a value of 400 Reward Points = 120 KrisFlyer Miles.
Travel Benefits
Both cards, when compared, are best suited for travel and provide perks such as complimentary airport lounge access and low foreign exchange markup fees.
| Travel Benefits | Federal Scapia | IndusInd Tiger |
| Domestic Airport Lounge Access | Unlimited Access (On Making Transactions of ₹10,000 or More Each Month) | 2 Complimentary Visits Per Quarter (8 Free Visits Annually) |
| International Airport Lounge Access | N/A | 2 Complimentary Lounge Visits Per Year (Through the Priority Pass Program) |
| Forex Markup Fee | 0% | Discounted to 1.5% |
Other Lifestyle Perks
While Scapia is a dedicated travel credit card, it lacks other lifestyle perks, whereas the Indusind Tiger offers a couple of other lifestyle perks, such as the following-
- Two complimentary movie tickets on BookMyShow every year (worth ₹500).
- One complimentary golf game or lesson every quarter( 4 lessons/games annually)
Bottom Line
Both Scapia Federal and IndusInd Tiger are lifetime-free credit cards, ideal for frequent travelers. However, the difference lies in the value of reward points and the flexibility to redeem these points.
If you could easily take advantage of reward points on the Scapia app, the Scapia card may be the perfect fit, as it also offers zero forex markup.
However, if you are a high spender, you should go for the IndusInd Tiger card. That way, you can earn rewards at an accelerated rate of up to 6x, use the collected rewards for straight cash credit, and also take advantage of additional perks like international airport lounge access, BOGO movie tickets, and free golf rounds/lessons every quarter.

I feel the collective reward rate of Tiger is not as good as Scapia! Understandable that coins are limited to the scapia app but quite frankly for someone who is travelling frequently, you would make use of scapia coins more. Also Scapia has 0% Foreign exchange markup, which means i don’t need any other forex card id i have scapia, honestly makes so much more sense to get scapia !!
