Revision of Axis Bank Vistara Credit Cards 2025

Since the merger of Air India and Vistara, there have been numerous changes, devaluations, and revisions to the features of all co-branded credit cards from Air India and Vistara from various credit card issuers in India, including SBI Card, IDFC Bank, and Axis Bank. Currently, banks have stopped issuing these cards, and eventually, they will be discontinued entirely.

Axis Bank has announced the official devaluation of the Axis Vistara Co-Branded Credit Cards, effective April 18, 2025. Starting on that date, there will be several significant changes to the structure of the Axis Vistara Credit Cards, including the following:

– Waiver of annual charges

– Discontinuation of Complimentary Maharaja Club tier memberships

– Elimination of the renewal benefit of complimentary ticket vouchers

– The milestone benefit of complimentary tickets or vouchers will be removed

These changes are expected to diminish the value of the cards, as cardholders primarily used them for Air India Maharaja Club privileges and milestone benefits. However, there will be no changes to benefits such as golf, dining, airport lounge access, or general rewards earning. Those cardholders who have their renewal before 18th April 2025 can continue to use their cards normally and shall be eligible for milestone benefits for one year from the date of renewal.

Recently, the Club Vistara IDFC Card underwent a similar devaluation, and in fact, all Air India/Vistara co-branded credit cards in the country will experience such revisions. The Axis Vistara co-branded credit cards, including the Axis Bank Vistara Signature, Axis Bank Vistara Credit Card, and Vistara Infinite Credit Card, which were once among the most popular airline credit cards, are set to become practically worthless.

All Axis Vistara credit cardholders should be aware of the changes effective from April 18, 2025, and plan their spending accordingly. Customers with renewal dates before April 18, 2025, can continue to use their cards without any changes for one year from the renewal date. However, all cardholders whose renewal dates occur after April 18 will face significant devaluations, including the removal of renewal changes and milestone benefits.
