Tan Son Nhat International Airport is a well-connected airport and an important transit point for Indian travellers, especially for those flying onward to Phu Quoc and other destinations in Vietnam.
The airport has multiple lounges for international travellers, but for first-time visitors, finding the right lounge can feel a bit overwhelming.
Location
I personally felt a little confused while looking for a quiet place to relax after security. That said, the Jasmine Halal Lounge is actually one of the easier lounges to locate, once you know where to look.
After clearing immigration and security, turn left. The lounge entrance will be on your right, located between Gate 17 and Gates 10–14.
One thing to keep in mind: the lounge is on a lower level, so you’ll need to take an elevator or stairs down after spotting the signboard. Slightly tricky, but manageable.
Entry Experience
The entry process is generally smooth. However, my experience had a small hiccup.
My wife accessed the lounge using her DreamFolks QR code without any issues. I used my Axis Bank Horizon Credit Card. While my card was initially swiped and I was allowed entry, the staff approached me after about 10 minutes and asked me to swipe again, as my international transactions were turned off and the payment hadn’t gone through.
To be fair, the staff handled this well; they allowed access first and sorted the issue later. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this approach, and I appreciated the flexibility.
The lounge is open 24 hours and can be accessed via Priority Pass, DreamFolks, or eligible international credit cards.
Seating & Ambience
There was plenty of seating available during my visit. The highlight for me was the airport-facing windows, which offer a great view of the runway. If you enjoy plane spotting, this lounge definitely delivers.
The seating is comfortable enough for a short rest, meal, or work session.
Food & Beverages
All food served in the lounge is certified by the International Halal Integrity Alliance and Malaysia Halal Consultation & Training Company (MHCT).
There is no alcohol or pork served here.
I visited during the night, so I had the chance to try the dinner menu. While the food options are decent, the taste of certain dishes may not appeal to everyone, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the cuisine. That said, having clearly certified options is reassuring for many travellers.
Business Center
At the far right window side, there is a small business center equipped with two desktop computers and a printer, which can be useful for quick work or printing documents.
Bottom Line
If you enjoy plane spotting, need a quiet place to relax, and prefer a lounge with clearly curated food options, the Jasmine Halal Lounge is a solid choice at Ho Chi Minh Airport.
It’s not a luxury lounge, but it offers a comfortable space, clear food standards, and easy access, making it especially suitable for travellers who value simplicity and peace during transit.
For plenty of domestic and international airport lounge access options, accelerated rewards for travel bookings, opt for the Horizon Credit Card.
