ixigo AU Credit Card Devaluation Effective 13 April 2026
The ixigo AU Credit Card was once a go-to choice for many travelers. However, over time, the card has undergone several changes and has gradually lost some of its value. Now, it is set to see more updates, effective from 13th April 2026.
Most of these changes are negative, such as the increased spending requirement for airport lounge access and a significant reduction in reward rates. That said, there are a few positives as well, including improved discounts on flight bookings via ixigo.
Increased Discounts on Flight & Hotel Bookings via ixigo
The cap on discounts available on the ixigo platform has been increased.

The ixigo AU Card shall now offer milestone benefits based on quarterly spending.

Revised Reward Points Structure (Flat Earnings Across Categories)
This is one of the major changes to the card, as it effectively reduces the rewards offered. Earlier, users could earn 10 Reward Points per ₹200 spent online, but now the earnings are a flat 5 Reward Points per ₹200 across all spends, whether online or offline.

Increased Spend Requirement for Domestic Airport Lounge Access

Bottom Line
While the increase in the cap on flight and hotel discounts, along with the addition of a new milestone benefit, is a welcome change, the higher spending requirement for airport lounge access and the reduced reward rate are clear negatives for AU ixigo Credit Cardholders.
In comparison to other travel cards, such as the Scapia Credit Card, this card no longer competes in today’s market.
