Transferring points to airlines, accumulating enough points with your American Express Card to transfer to Marriott, free food at airports (if you know you know), there’s so much that involves credit cards when we talk about traveling or planning a vacation.
From choosing the right card with the right partners to understanding reward point value and much more. Yet for many people, at least those who don’t live and breathe credit cards, sometimes the most basic thing slips the mind.
The old, the bold, the classic, the most important, complimentary airport lounge access.

No matter how many reels or posts you scroll through about crowded lounges or basic food, the next time you’re at an airport, you’ll definitely walk in. And why not? Free food, free Coke, plenty of seating, all of this plus the chance to observe your surroundings at no extra cost.
Absolutely none.
But with companies shutting down and partnerships/agreements shifting left, right, and center, it becomes difficult for most of us to keep track of our visits, generate codes, and who knows what else. And the apprehension is real for those of us who don’t hold an EPM or Olympus. Most of us have no clear idea what airport benefits our debit or credit card offers.
While those with premium cards have nothing to worry about, those with average everyday cards have everything to wonder.
So right now, we’ll discuss everything about airport lounges and how you can stay aware and on top of all that your card has to offer. That way, the next time you’re standing in the queue to avail your credit card gifted right – you’re confident, and hopefully quick, since the line is usually quite long.
Is Airport Lounge Access Still Worth It?
Most definitely, don’t listen to business-class flyers who’ll tell you that having a coffee at Starbucks and pretending to read a book is the real “airport experience.”
Airport lounge access is definitely worth it. I was recently at the Adani Lounge at Jaipur Airport, and trust me, nothing topped the matar paneer and rice I had there. There will always be people who dismiss this benefit, or those who bring up business-class lounges or Encalm Prive and compare them to regular lounges.
But honestly, most of us arrive at airports early, and yes, we may have to stand in a line for ten minutes, but a lot of good things in life take time, especially when they’re free. Not every benefit is meant to be a golden experience. Sometimes, a bit of comfort and joy should be enough.
I think it would take years and hundreds of lounge visits to get bored of it. If you’re a regular, non-HNI person who travels occasionally for an event, a vacation, a wedding, or work, airport lounge access is a benefit worth looking out for.
How to Check If My Credit Card Offers Free Airport Lounge Access?
First things first. Before applying, everyone should know the benefits their card offers, and trust me, if your credit card has airport lounge access, issuers, banks, and NBFCs will scream at the top of their lungs to tell you this.
Still, if you have no idea whether your card offers lounge access or how many visits you’re allowed, you can always check the official bank website or platforms like ours to know everything about it.
There are also several platforms now that allow you to book airport lounges in advance. With these platforms, you’ll know exactly whether your card offers lounge access at a particular airport or not. Earlier, DreamFolks used to be the premier pioneer platform for this; now there are several, and hopefully, banks don’t end up adding even more. Fingers crossed.
But plain and simple: with platforms like HOI, Adani Lounge One, and TFS, credit card holders can check all their airport lounge visit eligibility. Currently, only these are the trusted, authorized parties through which this can be done.
You simply need to add your card to these platforms, select your airport and lounge, and voila, if you’re eligible to book a visit, you’ll be able to. If not, the platform will clearly tell you whether you don’t have any visits left or your card doesn’t support that particular lounge.
HOI
The HOI platform is one of the newest players in the airport lounge access scene. And arguably, this is the easiest and most convenient to use.
This platform can only be used to book airport lounge access online.
One of the plus points of using this platform is that it clearly displays the number of complimentary visits left on your card and whether any guest visits are applicable or not. One drawback of the platform is that it can sometimes be misleading. In several cases, it shows a lounge as available for booking, but when you proceed with the reservation, you are redirected to Adani Lounge One, where the lounge is actually accessible. This can create confusion for users who expect direct access to the lounge initially displayed on the platform.
Those who wish to book airport lounge access with HOI can do so by clicking here.
Adani Lounge One
Adani LoungeOne is a platform by Adani Digital Labs Private Limited. This platform is useful for booking airport lounge visits at Adani-managed airports in India. Currently, lounges at non-Adani airports cannot be booked through this platform.
In their own words: “We act as a facilitator and merely provide an online platform to the User to select the Lounge Operator services being offered by the Relevant Lounge Operator at the Airports mentioned.”
How can you book airport lounge access via Adani LoungeOne?
Simply go to this website, add your card, and you’re done. You’ll be shown Total Quarterly Benefits and Primary Benefits Left, which means you can book airport lounge access with complete ease and clarity.
At the lounge, just show your QR code and walk in. Just remember, this platform is useful only for Adani-
Travel Food Services
Several credit cardholders can now also use the Travel Food Services platform to book their airport lounge access. Although the list is limited and the platform is quite basic, it’s still a great way to check whether your card offers access to a particular lounge or not.

Which Platform Should You Use for Airport Lounge Access?
With multiple platforms now available for booking airport lounge access or checking eligibility, it can get confusing. Different cities and airports may be supported by different providers, and not every platform works everywhere.
To make things easier, refer to the infographic below to quickly identify which airport lounge in each city can be accessed through which platform. This will help you avoid confusion and choose the right option before you travel.
Which Credit Card is the Best for Free Airport Lounge Access in India? (July 2026)
The infographic below highlights the best credit cards for free airport lounge access as of the writing of this article. We’ve included a mix of basic, mid-range, and premium cards that offer lounge access across India, with some even providing international access through Priority Pass or DreamFolks.
For this list, I’ve chosen not to include cards that offer conditional lounge access, whether the spending requirement is minimal or high. The cards featured here provide lounge access without any monthly or quarterly spending criteria, making them straightforward and reliable for travelers.
Ultra-premium cards like HDFC Infinia have also not been taken into consideration for this list.
The cards listed above are not only good for airport lounge access but also offer a decent reward rate and additional benefits. Each individual should consider their own expenses and needs before applying for any credit card.
We’ve focused on cards that can be easily applied for and are suitable for everyday individuals, rather than highlighting premium cards with higher entry requirements.
Our Recommendation
The Axis Horizon Credit Card is currently the best pick for unconditional airport lounge access in India. This card offers plenty of domestic lounge visits as well as international lounge access.
Another reason to consider this card is the 5X rewards on airline spending and travel bookings made through Travel EDGE. So not only can you earn accelerated rewards on flight bookings, but you can also enjoy convenient lounge access across the country.
Bottom Line
Early arrivals, flight delays, or casual snacking, no matter what your requirement is, free airport lounge access provides the perfect comfort where travelers can rest, relax, and continue their journeys with a full stomach.
