Axis Bank Launches Scapia Credit Card

3 September, 2026 / By Gunjan Bharara / 0 Comment

Axis Bank has launched the Scapia Axis Credit Card, bringing the popular travel-focused Scapia credit card under a new banking partnership. The Scapia Credit Card is also currently available in partnership with BOBCARD and Federal Bank.

The Scapia Credit Card has already gained popularity among travel-focused credit card users, and the new partnership with Axis Bank could help the card reach an even wider audience. With Axis Bank’s extensive customer base, Scapia is likely to see a significant expansion in its reach.

Axis Bank Scapia Credit Card

In terms of features, the Scapia Axis Credit Card retains the core benefits available through its other issuing bank partnerships. This means users can continue to access the key travel-focused features that have made the Scapia Credit Card popular, such as zero forex charges, while Axis Bank becomes the latest issuer to offer the card.

While the Scapia Credit Card was previously issued on the Visa and RuPay networks, the Axis Scapia will be launched on the Mastercard and RuPay networks.

Scapia Axis Credit Card Reward Earning

As per the current terms, Scapia Axis Mastercard Credit Cardholders earn 10% rewards on eligible purchases of ₹20 or more. Purchases below ₹20 do not earn rewards. Meanwhile, the Scapia Axis RuPay variant currently offers 5% rewards on eligible spends above ₹500.

The card also offers an enhanced 20% rewards rate on travel purchases made through the Scapia App. Rewards earned through card transactions are converted into Scapia Coins on the statement date at a current conversion ratio of 1 Reward = 1 Scapia Coin.

However, several categories are excluded from earning rewards, including rent, fuel, cash withdrawals, EMI transactions, forex transactions, education fees, gift cards, credit card repayments, crypto transactions, insurance, utility, telecom and cable spends, and wallet loading.

The rewards earned on the card form part of the Scapia loyalty ecosystem and are converted into Scapia Coins. You can redeem these coins through the Scapia platform for flights, hotel stays, buses, trains, visas, and other services offered through the app.

Unlimited Domestic Airport Lounge Access

The card also comes with complimentary access to select domestic airport lounges in India.

Under the current terms, active Scapia Axis Credit Cardholders can unlock unlimited domestic lounge access by spending ₹20,000 in a billing cycle. Cardholders must also remain active each month to retain the unlimited complimentary lounge benefit.

Eligible users can generate a lounge QR code through the Scapia App, using the cardholder’s boarding pass for validation. Lounge access is subject to participating lounges, availability, and the applicable conditions.

Zero Forex Markup

The popular travel offering continues to offer zero forex markup charges.

The Scapia Axis Credit Card terms state that cardholders will not be charged any forex markup when shopping abroad. This remains one of the more attractive features for travelers, particularly when combined with the card’s travel rewards and the ability to redeem Scapia Coins through the Scapia platform.

Bottom Line

This move is likely to bring another interesting change to the Indian credit card space, as Axis Bank has a significantly wider reach than the previous issuers. With Scapia now having three issuing bank partnerships over time, the card could potentially reach a much larger customer base.

The current Scapia Axis Credit Card terms retain several of the features that have made the card attractive to travel-focused users, including 10% rewards on eligible Mastercard spends, 20% rewards on travel booked through the Scapia App, zero forex markup, Scapia Coins and unlimited domestic lounge access after meeting the ₹20,000 monthly spend requirement.

With zero joining and annual fees, the core proposition doesn’t appear to change. For existing Scapia fans, it is essentially the same card with a new issuer, only this time, with Axis Bank behind it.
