AU Bank Revises Credit Card Terms – Transportation Rewards Removed, Lounge Spend Criteria Increased

It seems the devaluation train just won’t come to a stop, and the list keeps growing with almost every issuer and several popular credit cards being affected. AU Bank has now also announced new changes to its credit cards.

From 10 April 2026, AU Bank credit cards will no longer earn reward points on transportation transactions. While this change may not be very significant, the bank has also increased the spending requirement for domestic airport lounge access from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per calendar quarter. This change could impact many AU credit cardholders, as lounge access will now become more restrictive.

Bottom Line

AU Bank has made two notable changes to its credit card terms. While discontinuing rewards on transportation spends may not significantly impact most users, the increase in the spend requirement for domestic airport lounge access from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per quarter is a more meaningful change. Cardholders will now need to spend more each quarter to continue enjoying lounge access benefits.
