American Express has announced that Membership Rewards points can no longer be transferred to Etihad Guest Miles from July 1, 2026. Card Members can continue making transfers until June 30, 2026, after which Etihad Guest will be removed from the list of Membership Rewards transfer partners.
Etihad Guest has been one of the airline loyalty programs available to American Express Card Members for redeeming Membership Rewards points. The program allowed members to convert points into Etihad miles and use them for flight bookings, seat upgrades, and other travel-related benefits.
Last Date to Transfer Points
Card Members can transfer Membership Rewards points to Etihad Guest Miles until 11:59 PM IST on June 30, 2026. Transfers will not be possible after this date.
Members planning to use their points with Etihad Guest should complete the transfer before the deadline.
Other Transfer Partners Continue
The removal of Etihad Guest does not affect other Membership Rewards transfer partners. American Express will continue to offer point transfers to several airline and hotel loyalty programs, including:
- Asia Miles
- British Airways Executive Club
- Hilton Honors
- Marriott Bonvoy
- Qatar Airways Privilege Club
- Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
- Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
Card Members can continue transferring their Membership Rewards points to these programs as per the existing terms and conditions.
Other Redemption Options Available
Apart from airline and hotel transfers, Membership Rewards points can also be redeemed through the American Express rewards catalog.
Card Members can use their points for eligible purchases, redeem them against card transactions, or exchange them for vouchers. The rewards catalog includes INSTA Vouchers from more than 100 brands, including Amazon, Blinkit, Taj Hotels, and The Postcard Hotels.
