SBI Card is one of the most popular and largest credit card issuers in India. With a wide range of rewarding credit cards, the bank also provides other useful services through which you can continue to use/operate your card easily. For making transactions using a SBI Credit Card, a 4-digit ‘Personal Identification Number’ (PIN) is required. It helps in authorizing a secured payment. SBI Cards provides a few ways in which you can generate or change your credit card PIN.

Through ATM

To generate a 4-digit credit card PIN through an ATM, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Visit SBI’s nearest ATM, swipe your credit card in the ATM machine, and select your preferred language.
Step 2: The option to ‘Create PIN using OTP’ will be reflected on the ATM machine’s screen. Click on it.
Step 3: You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter this OTP number and create your PIN.
Step 4: Re-enter the created PIN and submit your request.

Website

This is one of the easiest ways to generate your credit card PIN, and you do not have to visit a bank’s ATM. You can generate the ATM PIN from anywhere or anytime at your leisure. Follow these steps to generate your credit card PIN through the website;

Step 1: Log in to your SBI Internet Banking account and click on the ‘My Account’ tab.
Step 2: Find and click on ‘Manage Pin.’
Step 3: Under Manage Pin, click on Generate OTP.
Step 4: Enter the received OTP on your registered mobile.
Step 5: Enter a new 4-digit PIN twice and click on submit.

Mobile Application

This is another easiest way to generate a PIN at your comfort. Bank’s mobile apps have made everything easy for its users. Mobile apps are user-friendly. Here is a step-by-step guide for the generation of credit card PINs using the SBI mobile app;

Step 1: Open the SBI mobile app and log in to your account.
Step 2: Now click on the ‘My Account’ tab and find ‘Manage Pin.’
Step 3: In the ‘manage pin’ tab, select the card for which the pin needs to be generated.
Step 4: Click on generate OTP; you will receive a one-time password on your registered phone.
Step 5: Enter the OTP, type the new 4-digit pin twice, and click on submit.

Chatbot ILA

SBI has provided a chat robot to resolve your issues as soon as possible. You can also use Chatbot ILA to generate credit card PINs in the following manner;

Step 1: Go to sbicard.com and click on ‘ASK ILA.’
Step 2: Now click ‘login’ in Chatbot ILA, and you will receive a login link; click on it.
Step 3: You will get two login options. One is done by OTP when entering the card no., and the other one is the user ID and password.
Step 4: After logging in, ask ILA, ‘How do I generate a transaction PIN for my credit card’?
Step 5: Now click on ‘Update PIN’ and enter the received OTP on your registered mobile number.
Step 6: After entering the OTP, click on submit, enter the new 4-digit PIN twice, and click on ‘Update PIN’.

Through IVR

First-time credit cardholders can make great use of this method. You can call the customer helpline and generate your credit card PIN within no time. You need to follow the instructions given by the IVR. Here is how you can generate your credit card PIN using IVR;

Step 1: Call the SBI Card Customer Helpline number 1860 180 1290/39 02 02 02.
Step 2: Now choose option 6 for generating your credit card pin.
Step 3: Enter the 16-digit SBI card number, date of birth in DD MM YYYY format, and card expiration date in MM YY format.
Step 4: You will receive a 6-digit OTP number on your registered mobile number or on your registered email ID.
Step 5: Enter the 4-digit PIN number twice, and after that, you’ll receive the confirmation message on the IVR itself.

Ways to Change Your SBI Credit Card

You can change your SBI Credit Card Personal Identification Number either through the website or through ATM.

Through ATM

You can easily change the SBI credit card PIN by following the given below steps;

Step 1: Go to the nearest SBI ATM, insert your credit card, and choose the language of your choice.
Step 2: Enter the existing credit card PIN and click on change PIN.
Step 3: After clicking, you will receive a one-time password on the registered mobile number.
Step 4: Enter OTP and type a new 4-digit PIN twice, and click on submit.
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation message from the bank on your registered number or email. If you haven’t changed the PIN, contact the bank immediately.

Through Net Banking

You don’t have to visit the ATM to change your SBI credit card PIN; you can change it at your convenience just by logging into your online banking account from anywhere and anytime. Here is how to change your credit card PIN;

Step 1: Log in to your online banking account, click on ‘credit card requests’, and then change your PIN.
Step 2: The bank will send an OTP to your registered mobile number.
Step 3: Enter the received OTP and click on continue.
Step 4: Enter a new 4-digit PIN twice and click on submit.
Step 5: You will receive a notification of a changed PIN on your registered number or email or on both. Kindly contact the bank immediately if you haven’t changed your credit card PIN.
