SBI Cards offers a wide range of credit cards to its customers. Customers can use a credit card to borrow funds easily without having to wait to get approval from the bank for the loan. Ways to increase the credit limit on SBI Credit Card

The customers can request to increase the credit limit based on their spending habits and capacity to repay the borrowed funds. SBI Cards provide its customers with two ways to increase the credit limit. They are:

  1. Pre-approved Limit enhancement offer.
  2. By direct requesting the bank

Pre-approved Limit Enhancement Offer

SBI Cards many a time provide its valuable customers a pre-approved limit enhancement offer on their credit card. If you have been clearing all the dues on your SBI Credit Cards before the due date then there can be chances that the SBI Cards itself sends you this offer. You can accept this in three ways:

  • Net Banking
  • Phone Banking
  • Through an SMS

Accepting the pre-approved limit enhancement offer through Net Banking

Customers can use their net banking account to accept the offer in just 3 easy steps:

Step1: Go to SBI Cards official site and log in to your account using either your mobile number, card number, or your User ID & password.
Step 2: From the menu click on offers or benefits.
Step 3: From the given offers select Credit Card Limit Increase Offer and click on submit.

The pre-approved limit enhancement offer acceptance will be sent to the SBI Cards immediately.

Accepting the pre-approved limit enhancement offer through Phone Banking

To accept the offer the customers can call on the 24×7 toll-free customer care number 1800-180-1290. On calling the customer care number request to get connected with the customer care agent, after connecting with the agent provide the necessary details and tell them about the received offer of pre-approved limit enhancement and that you would like to accept the offer. The agent will do the needful work from their side and you will receive the confirmation message of the offer acceptance.

Accepting the pre-approved limit enhancement offer through an SMS

You can accept the offer by sending an SMS to the SBI Cards through your registered mobile number. Type ‘INCR ABCD’ following with the last 4 digits of your SBI credit card number and send it to 5676791. On sending the message you will receive the confirmation message of offer acceptance on the registered mobile number.

Directly Requesting the Credit Limit Increase

The customers can directly request the SBI Cards to increase the credit card limit depending upon their credit card usage and their repaying power. There is no such rule that to increase the credit limit you are required to get the pre-approved limit enhancement offer from the bank itself, you can call on the customer care number 1800-180-1290 or you can visit the nearest SBI Cards office. Submit your request to increase the limit to the agent and he will check your eligibility for the same. The agent will ask you to submit the required documents like income proof to the nearest branch.

Documents to be submitted for a credit limit enhancement:

You are required to furnish the following income documents for revision of your credit limit to check whether you can handle a higher limit or not. You need to submit the following documents either in soft copy via mail or hard copy by visiting the branch:

  • Salary Slips of last two months
  • Form 16
  • Income Tax Returns IV
