These exclusions are based on Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) and also apply to cash advances, fees/charges, and disputed transactions.

        It’s not 18% charges, but I don’t remember the exact amount — approx 2% convenience fee on paying using credit card and with CC UPI payment mode, up to 3% convenience fee, only on electricity bill payments on Paytm app.

        I think you got confused with the 18% GST that is applied on the convenience fee.

    • No information about Card usage charges (paid 18% while paying Electricity bill). Why is that not covered beforehand in all info providing venues? What kind of transactions attract such charges if not all?
