Kotak Mahindra Bank Launches Kotak Air+ Prime & Cashback+ Prime Credit Cards

Kotak Mahindra Bank has launched two new credit cards, the Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card and the Kotak Cashback+ Prime Credit Card. However, these are not entirely new products. Instead, they are modified versions of the existing Kotak Air+ and Kotak Cashback+ Credit Cards with one major addition.

The new Prime variants now offer accelerated rewards on spends made at auto dealer merchants, something that was not available earlier. With the Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card, cardholders can earn 5 Air Miles for every ₹100 spent at auto dealer merchants under MCCs 5013, 5511, 5521, and 5533.

On the other hand, the Kotak Cashback+ Prime Credit Card offers 5% cashback on spends made at eligible auto dealer merchants. These categories usually include automobile dealerships, car service centers, auto parts stores, and related merchants registered under the eligible merchant category codes.

Bottom Line

The new Prime variants of the Kotak Air+ and Cashback+ Credit Cards do not bring major changes to the existing cards, but the addition of rewards on auto-related spends can be useful for users who frequently spend on car servicing, accessories, repairs, or dealership payments.

For existing Kotak users, this is more of a feature upgrade than an entirely new card launch.
