AU LIT Credit Card Devaluation 2025

The AU LIT Credit Card is India’s first customizable credit card and one of the most popular offerings from AU Bank. Customers can select the features they want and pay accordingly. It is an ideal credit card, as individuals only have to pay for the features they choose. However, AU Bank has quietly made several changes to this offering, leading to a devaluation of the card’s original features. Many of these changes are quite subtle. Let’s take a comprehensive look at all the modifications made to the AU LIT Credit Card.

Bottom Line

AU LIT Credit Card was considered to be the perfect card for beginners and entry-level users, and they could select the rewards they want and pay specifically for them. But now AU Bank has devalued many of the features offered by the card, such as removal of Cult.fit as a preferred partner for memberships, removal of dining and electronics from the cashback category, increasing the price for free airport lounge acces,s and making changes to the required spending for milestone cashback. All of these removals and devalued features definitely make the card less appealing.

Now with the onset of many innovative FD-backed and entry level cards by large issuers, along with this devaluation, the AU LIT Credit Card shall soon become a second choice for many.

    I think it is still a great card. Best of all, wallet loads were (and still are, as per TnCs) considered in the 5% cashback calculation (for milestone spends).. so you can easily load your Amazon or Phonepe wallet (even with 2.36% charges) and still get 2.6% reward rate for regular UPI scans…

      Yes, All AU bank Credit Cards now live on RuPay.

      AU LIT, Vetta, Xcite, Zenith and AU Zenith+ etc all variants and get same reward rate on UPI spend.

    Is it really a One “Free” Visit to a lounge if you have to pay ₹399? How much does a lounge visit cost anyways?

      A lounge visit would cost somewhere around ₹1,200. But still its not worth it with LIT. There are great cards where you can derive that value. Take ixigo AU, Scapia as example and there are several more.
