IHG Hotels & Resorts has teamed up with Air India’s Maharaja Club loyalty program, giving travelers a new way to turn hotel stays into flight rewards. Under the partnership, eligible members can earn Maharaja Points on qualifying stays at participating IHG properties worldwide.

The earning rates are:

  • 2 Maharaja Points per USD 1 spent at most IHG Hotels & Resorts brands
  • 1 Maharaja Point per USD 1 spent at Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites, IHG Residences and IHG Army Hotels

Air India Add Maharaja Club Transfer Partner

Guests can also convert existing IHG One Rewards points into Maharaja Points at a rate of 1,000 IHG One Rewards points = 200 Maharaja Points. The minimum transfer amount is 1,000 IHG points. Converted points can be used for Air India award flights and cabin upgrades.

How to Start Earning

  • Join IHG One Rewards (or sign in if already a member).
  • Set your earning preference to AIR INDIA | MAHARAJA CLUB.
  • Add your 9-digit Maharaja Club ID to your IHG profile.
  • Book and stay at participating IHG hotels to start accumulating points.

Bottom Line

Adding IHG Hotels & Resorts as a Maharaja Club partner is a useful development for travelers who regularly stay at IHG properties. Members can earn up to 2 Maharaja Points per USD 1 spent on eligible stays and can also convert their existing IHG One Rewards points at a rate of 1,000 IHG points to 200 Maharaja Points.

With Maharaja Points usable for award flights and cabin upgrades, IHG One Rewards members now have another option to put their hotel loyalty points toward Air India travel.
