AU Bank Traverse Credit Card

  • Updated On: 12 February, 2026Published by: Rose Chugh

The AU Bank Traverse Credit Card is a premium lifestyle and travel card crafted exclusively for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). While the Indian credit card market has no shortage of premium travel options, the NRI-focused segment remains relatively small, with only a handful of products for global spending. The Traverse card stands out with its low forex markup, international lounge access, milestone rewards, and travel perks such as Meet & Assist and airport spa visits. It aims to make a balance between luxury lifestyle experiences and practical international benefits, giving NRIs more versatility in managing expenses.

    Bottom Line

The AU Bank Traverse Credit Card brings much-needed diversity to the small but growing NRI credit card market in India. It offers a 0.99% forex markup, complimentary domestic and international lounge access, and a ₹10,000 Taj Hotels milestone voucher, making it a compelling option for frequent travelers. However, it carries a moderate base reward rate and certain spend conditions (like domestic lounge eligibility), which may not appeal to many users.

If you are an NRI seeking a card that combines global spending power with premium travel privileges, the Traverse is worth considering. That said, alternatives like the Yes Bank RESERV, Yes SELECT NRI Card, and Kotak NRI Royale Signature Credit Card are also worth comparing before making a choice.
