How to Pay an American Express Credit Card Bill Using Direct Debit/NACH?

Another payment method that you can opt for is Direct Debit/NACH. To avail of this service, you need to download the required form depending on how you would like to enroll in your American Express Credit Card.

For Online Enrollment: You need to visit the e-Mandate Debit Enrollment webpage and enter your American Express Card number, mobile number, and email ID twice. After entering all the details, click on ‘Submit’.

For Paper-Based Enrollment: Choose a form based on the type of American Express Card you own and download it from online links. You can either download the Charge Card – Direct Enrollment Form or Credit Card – Direct Debit enrollment form and carefully fill in all the details. After completing the form, send it to the address: ‘American Express Banking Corp., Cyber City, Tower C, DLF City, Phase-II, Gurgaon- 122002’.

Your enrollment will be complete within 3-4 weeks.

Corporate card members can also avail themselves of Direct Debit services by enrolling their card. You need to download the Corporate Card – Direct Debit Enrolment form and carefully fill in the required details.

Another offline method you can go for is the DropBox. Go to the nearest DropBox and drop your cheque/draft in favor of ‘XYZ Card No. 37XXXXXXXXXXXXX’. Kindly drop your draft/cheque in Dropbox 4 days prior to the bill due date.

Please note that payment shall only reflect once American Express has confirmed funds with your respective bank. To avoid missed payments and late charges, make the payment beforehand (2-3 days before the due date) if you choose this method.

Few Things to Keep in Mind for AMEX Credit Card Bill Payments

  • Payments to the Card account can only be made from a bank account in the primary Card Member’s name.
  • Payments to an Indian-issued American Express Card held by a non-resident must be made through an NRE/NRO account in the primary card member’s name.
  • American Express is not required to process or guarantee payments made by a Card Member through a payment aggregator not listed on the American Express website or App.
