Just like any other card, ICICI credit cards also have certain parameters which the applicant has to meet in order to obtain a card. These parameters mainly include your basic details like age, nationality, salary, occupation, documentation, etc.
A good credit card score and history will be the icing on the cake. However, there is one particular parameter that defines your eligibility for a certain credit card issued by the bank and that is your income.

ICICI Bank Rubyx Credit Card
Min. Income Requirement ( Salaried ) = Rs. 50,000 Per month
Min. Income Requirement (Self-employed ) = Rs. 75,000 per month
ICICI Bank Sapphiro Credit Card
Min. Income Requirement ( Salaried ) = Rs. 80,000 Per month
Min. Income Requirement (Self-employed ) = Rs. 83,333 per month
ICICI Bank Emeralde Credit Card
Min. Income Requirement ( Salaried ) = Rs. 3 Lakh Per month
Min. Income Requirement (Self-employed ) = Annual ITR > Rs. 30 Lakhs
The bank prefers to provide credit cards to people with a stable income source as it builds trust that the cardholder will be able to return the loan. The applicant has to submit their monthly salary slips to prove their income. Self-employed applicants have to show their ITRs as income proof.
However, not having an income source is not an issue. You can still apply for a secured credit card against a fixed deposit, this ensures credibility.
