SBI Credit Cards August 2025: Swiggy Returns to SimplyCLICK; More Cards Barred from Digital Gaming Rewards
There have been several unnoticed or easily missable changes made to various SBI Credit Card offerings, such as the removal of Air Accident Cover from the co-branded KrisFlyer Credit Cards. While some of these changes are positive, others are negative.
On the positive side, there is good news for SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card holders. Swiggy has been reintroduced as a 10X Rewards partner, after being removed in March 2025. This is a welcome move and offers cardholders more opportunities to earn rewards on food delivery spends. As of 1st August, Gyftr has been added as a new rewards partner.

However, SBI Card has also made other changes, including expanding the list of cards that are no longer eligible for reward points on digital gaming platforms.
From 1st September 2025, several credit cards will become ineligible for earning rewards on digital gaming transactions and government spending. These include:
- Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card
- Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card SELECT
- Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card PRIME
This is not a surprising move, as these cards are not very popular, and SBI Card had previously removed many other cards from earning rewards on such categories.
Bottom Line
The SimplyCLICK SBI Credit Card is a basic offering, best suited for those beginning their credit card journey. This card has now become more rewarding, as Swiggy has been reintroduced and Gyftr has been added as a 10X reward-earning partner from 1st August 2025 onwards.
Apart from this, from 1st September 2025, SBI Card has also expanded the list of credit cards now ineligible for reward earning on digital gaming platforms and government spending. While this is unsurprising, as most credit cards do not offer rewards on these categories, it’s always best to stay updated on any changes made to our credit card benefits.
