As the financial year comes to an end, many users are receiving offers on their credit cards. Axis Bank cardholders are getting spend-based offers on cards like Olympus and Horizon, while RBL Bank users are seeing limit upgrade offers. This is actually a great time to consider a new credit card or an upgrade, with several issuers, from BOBCARD to Axis Bank, rolling out lifetime free (LTF) offers.

Following the trend, IndusInd Bank has also sent upgrade offers to many Legend Credit Card users. As per the offer, users can upgrade to the lifetime free EazyDiner Platinum Credit Card. Since both cards come with no joining or annual fees, the upgrade decision can feel a bit confusing.

Upgrade IndusInd Legend to EazyDiner Platinum Credit Card

Both the IndusInd Legend and EazyDiner Platinum Credit Cards are offered with zero joining and annual charges, which makes the choice less about cost and more about benefits.

What Does the EazyDiner Platinum Credit Card Offer?

The EazyDiner IndusInd Platinum Credit Card is a lifetime free card focused mainly on dining benefits. Cardholders get up to 25% discount at partner restaurants via EazyDiner, along with an additional 20% instant discount (up to ₹500) when paying through the app using PayEazy. You also get a 3-month EazyDiner Prime membership as a welcome benefit, which gives access to premium restaurants and exclusive offers. The card earns 2 reward points per ₹100 spent, along with 2X EazyPoints on dining, making it a decent option for regular dining expenses.

Apart from dining, the card has limited features, but it still covers basic benefits like fuel surcharge waiver and reward point redemption via the EazyDiner app.

Final Verdict

If you hold the Legend Credit Card, upgrading to the EazyDiner Platinum Credit Card makes sense, especially if you dine out or visit PVR frequently. Personally, having used the EazyDiner series of cards, the dining discounts alone make it worth considering.

The Legend card, which was once quite strong, has lost some of its value over time due to multiple devaluations. In comparison, the EazyDiner Platinum Credit Card offers more practical, everyday benefits, making it a better option for most users, especially since it’s lifetime free.

You can continue with the IndusInd Legend Credit Card if you don’t dine out much and prefer a simple, no-nonsense card for general spending. The card still offers decent basic rewards, a lower forex markup (1.8%), and the occasional BookMyShow BOGO offer, which can be useful for casual users.

It also works better for those who want flexible reward redemption options like cash credit or airmiles, which the EazyDiner card does not offer. If your spending is more general (shopping, bills, etc.) rather than dining-focused, sticking with the Legend card makes more sense.
