State Bank of India, the largest government banking institution in India, announced its all-new SBI Nari Shakti RuPay Debit Card on March 8, 2025, International Women’s Day. They also announced ‘SBI Asmita’, an SME loan for women entrepreneurs, a dedicated collateral-free digital loan product that offers low-interest rate funding. The debit card really caught our attention as it provides various perks and benefits, including numerous gift vouchers totalling upto ₹2,000 annually, free subscriptions, discounts on movie tickets, complimentary airport lounge access and more.

SBI emphasized that their card is specifically crafted for women, which is wonderful! It covers free annual health checkups, including pap smears. We all know how expensive procedures like pap smears, mammograms, and the critical HPV vaccine are, so having a card that offers a free annual health package, including pap smears, is genuinely a support for women’s overall well-being.
