SBI Card Discontinues Etihad Co-Branded Credit Cards

31 March, 2025 / By Kartik Kanwar / 0 Comment

SBI Card has announced the discontinuation of its Etihad Co-Branded Credit Card series. This decision comes at a critical time, as there have been numerous changes to airline credit cards in India, including the devaluation and eventual discontinuation of several Vistara Credit Cards. The Etihad Guest SBI Credit Card and the Etihad Guest SBI Premier Credit Card were both sub-premium and premium offerings that provided benefits for Etihad Airlines.

SBI Card Cancels Issuance of New Etihad Credit Cards

Bottom Line

As SBI Card ceases new issuances from 11th March 2025, existing cardholders must prepare for potential changes in rewards, benefits, and renewal policies. This move aligns with the broader trend in the industry, where airline partnerships are evolving.

For travelers loyal to Etihad Airways, this development means re-evaluating their credit card strategy and usage. The Etihad Guest SBI Credit Card and Etihad Guest SBI Premier Credit Card provided exclusive benefits such as Etihad Guest Miles, airport lounge access, and discounts on flight bookings. With these cards being phased out, customers will need to explore other popular travel credit cards, such as the newly launched HSBC TravelOne or the veteran Axis Atlas Credit Card.
