Hot Delicious Food
One of the main issues people often have with food at airport lounges is that it’s not always fresh or hot. Well, that was certainly not the case at the SATS Lounge. The food was not only hot but also fresh. I personally saw the staff refilling the counters from time to time, and there were plenty of attendants around to help. This is one of the biggest differences between domestic and international lounges: the level of hospitality and service you get to experience is truly unmatched.
Plenty of Beverages for All
Whether you’re looking for a Coke, Sprite, or even a glass of wine, there are plenty of beverage options available, including alcoholic drinks. There was also freshly served orange juice along with a variety of other choices to indulge in.
Seating
There are plenty of seating options available at this lounge. As you enter, you’ll find several comfortable sofa chairs where you can sit back and relax, each with charging points and magazines nearby. Moving further into the dining area, the seating changes to high bar stools, making it convenient and comfortable to enjoy a meal.
I personally chose a table towards the end and sat down comfortably, which gave me a nice, quiet spot to relax.
Cleanliness
The lounge area was well-maintained, with staff frequently collecting used plates. Whether it was the dining section, seating area, or even the windows, everything looked clean. Some parts, however, did feel a little dated, for example, the side tables seemed like they had been there for quite some time. Other than that, the overall space looked neat and fairly modern.
Even the shower area was shining.
Bottom Line
The SATS Premier Lounge at Departures Terminal 2 of Changi Airport is one of the most wonderful lounges around. The lounge itself is not very large, so during peak hours it can get a little crowded, but when I visited, on a weekend evening around 7 PM, it was quite comfortable.
Right from the start, the staff were courteous and helpful. I showed the lounge staff my DreamFolks QR code, which they scanned along with my boarding pass, while my partner presented the physical DreamFolks card. In terms of acceptance, there was absolutely no issue.
Once inside, we found plenty of seating and a wide variety of food options. Having spent a week in Singapore surrounded mostly by non-vegetarian and seafood dishes, it was a happy surprise to see vegetarian options like veg biryani and baingan ka bharta. The chilli chicken was also among the best I’ve ever had. For dessert, there was a nice variety of muffins, and overall, the food spread was impressive and satisfying.
For those who enjoy tea or coffee, there were several options available, including Kopiko instant coffee sachets and a range of regular teas.
I used the Mayura Credit Card for my trip to Singapore, which also gave me access to international lounges. Always be prepared in advance for lounge access and acceptance abroad while planning your travels, as it can make your journey far more comfortable.
