While many users were expecting Etihad to appear in Swiggy’s Partner Rewards section after the airline’s earlier announcements, Marriott Bonvoy has instead surprised everyone by launching a partnership with Swiggy. Through this collaboration, users can now earn Bonvoy points on their Swiggy spends.

From food delivery to Instamart orders, users will earn 5 Marriott Bonvoy points for every ₹500 spent on Swiggy. The reward rate appears quite attractive and may even be better than what IndiGo was previously offering through the platform. With such partnerships and co-branded credit card tie-ups, Swiggy continues to expand its ecosystem and attract more brand-conscious customers.

How Many Bonvoy Points Shall I Earn from Swiggy Orders?

Members who link their accounts can earn up to 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per eligible Swiggy transaction. This means even if the spending is higher, the maximum points that can be earned from a single transaction will be capped at 1,000 points.

Order Value Marriott Bonvoy Points
0 – ₹499 0
₹500 – ₹999 5
₹1,000 – ₹1,499 10
₹3,500 – ₹3,999 35
₹1,00,000 – ₹1,19,999 1,000

The Marriott Bonvoy points will usually be credited within 72 to 96 hours after the eligible Swiggy transaction is successfully completed.

Bottom Line

Marriott Bonvoy is one of the most popular hotel loyalty programs in the country, and this latest partnership with Swiggy gives users another way to earn Bonvoy points on their everyday spending. Customers can now earn points on food orders and groceries through Swiggy Instamart, and even dining payments via Swiggy Dineout.

Such collaborations, like the earlier partnership with IndiGo and potential tie-ups with airlines like Etihad Airways, along with new co-branded credit cards with HDFC Bank, create more opportunities for Swiggy to expand its ecosystem and increase the popularity of its platform and partner programs.

Users who have already linked their Swiggy accounts with IndiGo will first need to delink that account before they can link their Marriott Bonvoy account.
