Last year, the ban on new credit card issuance for Kotak Mahindra Bank was lifted. Since then, the bank has launched several new credit cards, including the premium Kotak Solitaire and the travel-focused Kotak Air+.

When Kotak Air+ was introduced, it was clear from the name that a lower variant would follow. That expectation has now come true with the official launch of the Kotak Air Credit Card. The card is now open for applications, and what makes this launch special is that it comes with zero joining fee, meaning there are no charges for the first year.

What Does the New Kotak Air Credit Card Offer
- Earn 3 Air Miles for every ₹100 spent on travel bookings made via Kotak Unbox (3% reward rate).
- Earn 1 Air Mile per ₹100 spent on all other purchases with no capping (1% reward rate).
- Air Miles Usage: 1 Air Mile = ₹1. Miles can be used for travel bookings and can also be transferred to select partner programs.
- 4 Complimentary Domestic Lounge Visits per Year for primary cardholders. Spend ₹60,000 or more in the previous calendar quarter to unlock lounge access in the next quarter.
- Cardholders receive 1,000 Bonus Air Miles on every card anniversary after paying the annual fee.
Airmile Transfer to Partners
A minimum of 1,000 Air Miles is required to transfer rewards to partner airlines or hotels. Additionally, the total transfer of Air Miles per card account is capped at 1,00,000 miles in a calendar year.
| Loyalty Program | Air Miles: Partner Miles |

Bottom Line
While the Kotak Air Credit Card does not offer any flashy or out-of-the-box features, it can be a good option for users who are just starting their miles journey and want an easy entry point. The zero joining fee makes it even more appealing for those looking for a low-cost travel credit card.
The card’s rewards are best suited for users who are comfortable using the Kotak Unbox platform. Although the card includes airport lounge access, it is spend-based and limited to domestic lounges only.
A detailed review, along with a comparison with the Kotak Air+ Credit Card, will be shared soon. Do share your thoughts on this latest addition to Kotak’s credit card lineup in the comments below.
