HDFC Bank has introduced revised continuation criteria for its premium Infinia Credit Card, tightening the requirements for cardholders who wish to continue enjoying the exclusive Infinia Experience. Cardholders have started receiving official communication from the bank outlining the updated benchmarks, which link continued access to either a minimum annual card spend or a defined relationship value with the bank.
As per the latest update, Infinia members will now need to meet a minimum annual spend of ₹18 lakh (including primary and add-on cards) in a financial year, or maintain a relationship value of ₹50 lakh with the bank.
| Requirement (For a Financial Year) | Threshold |
| Infinia Card Spends (Primary + Add-ons) | ₹18 Lakhs |
| Or, | |
| Relationship Value (RLV) | ₹50 Lakhs |
Bottom Line
While many people may see this as a devaluation, it really isn’t. The bank is simply protecting one of its most premium products. By introducing these conditions, it can continue offering the same strong benefits without actually cutting down the value of the card.
Of course, some cardholders may feel disappointed. However, ultra-high-net-worth individuals are unlikely to face any difficulty in meeting either the annual spend requirement or the total relationship value criteria.
Since HDFC Infinia remains one of the most premium and rewarding credit cards in the country, this move may actually strengthen its positioning, ensuring that the benefits stay exclusive and sustainable for those who truly qualify.
