In the past few months, IndusInd Bank Credit Cards have undergone several changes, including the devaluation of the Legend Credit Card and the Pinnacle World Credit Card. The bank previously revised its rewards system by removing InterMiles as a transfer partner and adding KrisFlyer as a new partner, along with reassessing the cash redemption value for many cards. Now, IndusInd Bank has made further changes applicable from 25th March 2025 to the Reward Points program by increasing the Reward Redemption Fee for all its credit cards on the IndusMoments portal.

The bank has also introduced some new rules; let’s look at the complete changes surrounding the IndusInd Bank Reward Point Program.
- From 25th March 2025, the Reward Redemption Charges for IndusInd Bank Credit Cards have been increased to ₹149 + GST.
| Previous Charges | New Charges |
| ₹100 + GST | ₹149 + GST (Fee Not Applicable for Pioneer Private, Pioneer Heritage, EazyDiner Signature, EazyDiner Platinum and Avios Visa Infinite Credit Cards) |
- Rollback of reward points for delinquent customers – if a customer has not paid at least their minimum amount due by the following statement generation date, the reward points earned on the unpaid spending will be rescinded.
- Discontinuation of Reward Points on Fractional Spending Over Base Multiplier. Currently, customers earn full reward points on the fractional portion of their spending that exceeds the base multiplier, provided the fractional amount is greater than 50. Customers receive 1 reward point for every ₹100 spent. Under the current system, if a customer spends ₹175, they will earn 2 reward points. This discontinuation of fractional reward points shall affect the total rewards earned with IndusInd Bank credit cards.
- Customers can redeem only up to 50% of their total Reward Points balance for cash credit redemptions. This limit will act as an additional filter, along with the monthly cap on product-level reward points redemptions. When redeeming for cash credit, customers can only redeem the lesser of either 50% of their Reward Points balance or the monthly cap on reward points redemptions.
Bottom Line
IndusInd Bank is gradually reducing the privileges associated with its credit cards. As a result, many customers may choose to switch to offerings from larger issuers like HDFC or Axis Bank. IndusInd Bank once had one of the most rewarding portfolios for both credit and debit cards, but now, almost all its offerings provide diminished benefits.
Pro Tip for IndusInd Credit Cardholders – Due to the increase in reward redemption charges, cardholders are encouraged to accumulate their rewards and redeem them all at once to avoid incurring additional fees repeatedly.
