IDFC FIRST Offers Upgrade from Club Vistara Credit Card to New IndiGo IDFC Dual Card

IDFC FIRST Bank has recently launched its new dual credit card in association with IndiGo. This card offers accelerated BluChip rewards on IndiGo flight bookings. Although it lacks several important features, such as airport lounge access, it is still technically termed a travel credit card.

IDFC  Offers Upgrade Club Vistara to New IndiGo IDFC Dual Card

Users holding the previously issued Club Vistara IDFC Credit Card have received emails offering an upgrade to the new IndiGo IDFC Credit Card. Following the merger of Air India and Vistara Airlines, several co-branded airline credit cards, including the Club Vistara IDFC Card, have been discontinued for new applications. Existing cardholders can continue using the card until it is fully phased out.

Although this upgrade is being offered as a pre-approved option, users will still be charged an annual fee of ₹4,999 + GST.

Club Vistara IDFC Credit Card Closed

The Club Vistara IDFC Credit Card will be completely discontinued effective 31st March 2026.

Our Take on This Upgrade Offer

As with the case of the Kotak IndiGo Credit Card, we suggest waiting, as the bank will eventually have to migrate the card to another offering. Those who opt for this upgrade may miss out on future opportunities to switch to a better card, such as the Ashva or Mayura.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the IndiGo IDFC Credit Card itself is not a highly rewarding option, as it lacks several important benefits, including airport lounge access. Even the reward rate is unclear, since the value of one BluChip is dynamic.
