HDFC Regalia Gold Vistara Silver Tier Benefit Replaced with Swiggy One

Cardholders who spend ₹1 lakh within 90 days of receiving their HDFC Regalia Gold Credit Card used to receive complimentary Club Vistara Silver Tier and MMT Black Elite memberships. These memberships were considered valuable travel privileges. However, following the Vistara and Air India merger, there were doubts about whether HDFC would continue offering this benefit in the Flying Returns program of Air India or replace it with another benefit.

The issuer has now informed Regalia Gold cardholders that starting from 1st November 2024, they will be able to avail Swiggy One and MMTBLACK Gold membership on spending ₹1 lakh within 90 days of card issuance. The previous benefit of Club Vistara Silver Tier membership shall now be discounted with the HDFC Regalia Gold Credit Card.

Those eligible for the Club Vistara Silver Tier membership should enroll before 31 October, as they will then be moved to a similar tier in the Flying Returns program when the merger is complete. From 1st November, all new applicants for the HDFC Regalia Gold Credit Card will be offered a Swiggy One membership.

Bottom Line

The removal of the Vistara Silver Tier does not come as a surprise to many Regalia Gold cardholders, as they had been anticipating the change ever since the merger of Air India and Vistara. Many have expressed their disappointment on popular platforms like Reddit about the replacement with Swiggy One. On one hand, issuers like American Express are offering Swiggy One membership for free with their cards, while now one will have to spend ₹1 lakh within 90 days to be eligible for MMT Gold and Swiggy One membership with HDFC Regalia Gold.

In terms of benefits offered by Vistara Tier membership, Swiggy One simply cannot match.
