The Earth Lounge at Terminal 1 of Cochin Airport is regarded as one of the best airport lounges in the country. With its great interiors, comfortable seating, and easily accessible location, travelers can easily find and relax in this lounge. One of the best features of this airport lounge was that it provided a complete view of the tarmac.
The lounge even has a separate business class section.
Where is the Lounge Located?
The Earth Lounge is located on the second floor of Terminal 1, Cochin Airport, just opposite the food court. One can easily access the airport lounge with most credit cards.

Check-in Experience
There are plenty of queues available during check-in, including separate queues for business class travelers. During my visit to the lounge, I found little to no rush in the evening, which is a positive sign considering how crowded airport lounges in India have become.

Comfortable Seating
The Earth Lounge offered a variety of seating options, all of which were very comfortable. From premium sofas to a comfortable dining area, one could easily relax at this lounge.
Throughout the lounge, a serene ambiance and clean layout prevailed.
The Food
The lounge offered plenty of food options to choose from (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian), and we did not hold back. Here is what was available.
- Indian hot dishes like rice, sambar, chicken curry, and biryani
- Assorted sandwiches, salads, and snacks
- Chicken samosa and calzone
- Tea, coffee, fresh juice, and soft drinks
Expect a buffet spread with South Indian staples like idlis, dosas, and upma, along with a selection of North Indian dishes, soups, salads, and desserts. The quality is decent and fresh. Even those with a sweet tooth would not be disappointed with the variety the lounge had to offer.
Bottom Line
Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend that anyone passing through Cochin Airport visit the Earth Lounge. It offers a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience, unlike the rush and monotony found in many airport lounges across the country. The Earth Lounge provides ample space and fresh air, which is a refreshing change. I accessed the lounge with my American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card, and there are several other credit cards that are also accepted.
