Marriott just announced that the annual limit for purchasing Bonvoy points has been increased to 1,50,000 from 1,00,000. That is not all, if you buy or gift 2000 or more Bonvoy points until 4th April 2025, you earn up to 45% bonus points. Earlier this offer was valid till 31st March 2025 but has now been extended. You can redeem your points against Marriott Bonvoy experiences, be it sports, dining, entertainment, or wellness.
If you decide to purchase points equal to the annual limit within this offer, which is 1,50,000 points, you earn 67,500 bonus points, totalling 2,17,500 points, in the first quarter of 2025.

Bottom Line
This is one of the many rewards sales Marriott announces every year. What makes this a great deal is that Marriott points can be easily transferred to various airline partner programs, and 45% bonus points are a great offer. However, as consumers, you have to be careful that these points expire in 24 months and that Marriott keeps coming up with offers like this one. It only makes sense to buy these points if you have an upcoming redemption opportunity or if you are gifting them to someone. These points can be redeemed for various aspects other than towards your stays, namely, spa sessions, dining and meals, golf sessions, and more at Marriott properties.
